I was at a client's house on Saturday. This client is beautiful mother of two children who just moved to Colorado Springs. She doesn't have a lot of money. She's just a regular person like all of us trying to make ends meet. I noticed when I walked into her home she had beautiful portraits of her first little boy and her family gracing the walls not only in her family room but in little nooks around the house. It was amazing the love that came through those pictures. I could see what their little boy looked like when he was a newborn, when he was 6 months and a year old. I saw pictures of them as a family playing together and hugging each other. They were beautiful. The time when those photographs were taken is over but the memories of those times are retrievable because she made the sacrifice to have them done.
I commented."Wow you have a lot of beautiful photographs!." She said, "I tell my husband, I don't want anything else for my birthday or for Christmas because everything else is just stuff...these pictures will last forever. Everyone chooses what to spend their money on. I chose this." Then we talked a little more about furniture and cars and other stuff...eventually it will all be ruined or replaced or thrown out. I of course agreed with her that beautiful photographs are priceless.
I do this because I love it. I do this because I love to capture who you really are as a family or a couple or just you as a person. I do this because it makes me happy to see other people's love captured. I do this to be a part of your lives and happiness.
